A pattern has developed in the book of Acts within the church. We observe them preaching the Gospel everywhere they go which then led persecution against the them. The church would turn to God in dependent prayer for boldness, open doors and deliverance. God would answer their prayer by manifesting His power in and through them. As we open Acts 12, the church, this assembly called out of the world by Jesus Christ, was living and declaring their Christian faith. It was as  unmissable as a city set on a hill. We see the pattern repeated again—preaching, persecution, prayer and power. Today’s narrative gives us encouragement that our God is not dead and He is not bound.

2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Philippians 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
