Acts chapter 12 ended with the death of Herod Agrippa I. Josephus, a historian of that time, tells us that for days there was great mourning. Following his death, some groups sought to take out their hatred of Herod by abusing his family. These were turbulent political times and social scandal. However, the church of Christ was undeterred from its mission and just moved forward according to the direction of Word of God and the Spirit of God.
